You did not say where you are located.
How many servers do you have?
You say you are a beginner.
Did you do the installation of the server?
    Did you recently cahnger anything?
Have you done a Google search on the topic?
    Like this:
Google LAN IP in windows 2003

One of the results may be like this:

Ipconfig /renew does not change ip address on a LAN with 2003 Server and XP clients

    Is that any help?

thanks for help.... i already searched for that... the IP which am getting is for "unallocated.barefruit.co.uk". I am an middleware admin and even deal with some OS related issues( installed and configured win 2003).

I didn't see like this issue before...

Is it automatic IP or manual ?

        IPV4 or IPV6 ?

Do you have more than DHCP Server in your network ?

The issue has to do with how extended domains names are done in the UK.

I'm sorry but can you explain the setup a little bit more please?

Is this server set to recieve IP addresses automatically?  How have you setup the reservation?

Has anything changed on the server or network recently?
