Basically if i make a change somewhere else and don't see it reflected there right away, this forces Windows to update what you see.( example: after download something )

WHAT IS "THERE"? where is "THERE"? your desktop? a folder?
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

There is, apparently, a well known folder refresh bug in Windows 7 Explorer.

has a few workarounds, seems the bug is related to some network stuff or something.


Another solution from a quick google seems to be to run a SFC /SCANNOW from an elevated command prompt.

I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.
