HP Pavilion dv6000 sound
« on: December 17, 2010, 09:46:14 PM »
I run WinOS Vista and my laptop decided it wanted to uninstall the sound card... I've tried reinstalling the drivers thru the recovery manager, i've tried drivers from the internet, and even using the disk i got with the computer, but nothing so far has helped.

My school's ITT services tried fixing it, but they managed to install an "uninstallable" version of ac3 filter in my control panel... thats about it...

any ideas or help?

A laptop cannot and will not to "decide" to uninstall something...it just doesn;t happen...
Travel to the laptop manuf, site and DLoad and re-install the appropiate drivers for the machine.

Please let me know the serial number of your HP Notebook, also the Product number of it if you have it.

Also go to device manager and provide the device/Hardware instanace ID of the sound card listed.

We will try to find out why it is causing this issue.
