Whats Your Plan for 2011?
« on: January 07, 2011, 03:51:17 AM »
Hello all,

First of all, Happy New Year.

I was very curious to know all your plans for 2011. Would love to hear them.

My plan is that I am making a site and learning marketing skills.

Sorry but I don't plan a year at a time.

All of my goal/plans are either quickly attainable ( I plan to go see the newest movie out in theaters, I plan to take my wife out on a date with out the kids) or take years to see to the end (I plan on having the mortgage paid off on my house by the time my kids get out of school, I plan on being CEO of the company that I work for)

I don't see the point of trying to set new goals at the beginning of a new year. Why not use the beginning of the new month, week, weekend, day, or hour. They are all equally significant in your life as the beginning of the New Year.

Why should you have to wait until a new year to set a new goal and why only give yourself a year to do something in? If it was really an important goal you would have set it the day you realized it was important to you and you wouldn't give up on it if you can't complete it in a year.

Always good to make a plan. But ones needs to be flexible.
Marketing? Like make money in marketing?
How do you learn new things?
A. Talking to others with same interests.
B. Analyze the success of others.
C. Get some books and read a lot.
D. Take a course at a local college.
All the above are reasonable entry methods into marketing.

The following are NOT recommended marketing entry points
A. Respond to TV ads about how to make a million six weeks.
B. Frequent Casinos that offer special night.
C. Start a pyramid scheme with your friends.

I couldn't agree more.
