    Odd MS problem.
    « on: February 22, 2011, 02:54:54 PM »
Ok so this setup has been working fine up until now.

I've got a modem, connected to a router which is gives my household wireless but also connects my computer through a cable. As I said, up until now this has been working flawlessly but recently I've noticed a slight lag in my surfing. Tried it on a Swedish broadband-site and it says I've got 512 ms. Also tried it on my mum's computer which is wirelessly connected and it gives her 10ms.

Any ideas what might cause this?

    Modem: Netgear ADSL2+Modem DM111P
    Router: 3Com OfficeConnect  Wireless 108Mps 11g Cable/DSL Router

    Running windows 7 Ultimate

    Sincerely, Phallan

Have you tried testing the internet connection speed at different time(s)? The slight lagging may be cause by more people or subscribers on your ISP using the net. You could also clean your temp files or use Ccleaner(use default settings) and check for any probable spyware or malware infection by using Malwarebytes and Superantispyware(update definitions first) and perform a complete scan.
