You appear to be using Windows 7, which I don't have.  A little research indicates it might be a driver issue.  What is the exact make & model of your notebook computer?  Presario C700??  There's 100's of variations of this laptop.  Couldn't find any with Win7.

      61C would be acceptable.

      Download Process Explorer: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx
Unzip ProcessExplorer.zip, and double click on procexp.exe to run the program.
Click on View > Select Colunms.
In addition to already pre-selected options, make sure, the Command Line is selected, and press OK.
Go File>Save As, and save the report as Procexp.txt.
Attach the file to your next reply.

So, your computer must be scrap by the cause of overheating.
(overheating for a too long time can melt internal pieces)

You have Hardware Interrupts high CPU usage.
That may incorrect IDE controller setting, or hard drive problem.

          Open Device Manager and....

Check Primary and Secondary IDE settings: Device Manager -> IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers -> Primary or Secondary IDE Channel -> Properties -> Advanced Settings. Look at the Current Transfer Mode field.
See, if it's in PIO mode instead of DMA mode.

I did check. There is no primary or secondary, instead there is Channel 0 and channel 1 mentioned.

When i checked the properties, for both of channels 0 (two channels 0) Enable DMA is clicked.

            regards,
            Ravi

Run hard drive diagnostics: http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=287 (or http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=28744&hl=hard+drive+diagnostic)
Make sure, you select tool, which is appropriate for the brand of your hard drive.
Depending on the program, it'll create bootable floppy, or bootable CD.
If downloaded file is of .iso type, use ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/ to burn .iso file to a CD (select "Write image file to disc" option), to make the CD bootable.
For Toshiba hard drives, see here: http://sdd.toshiba.com/main.aspx?Path=ServicesSupport/FujitsuDrivesUSandCanada/SoftwareUtilities#diagnostic

Note : If you do not know how to set your computer to boot from CD follow the steps HERE

For now my advise is to examine Event Viewer: Application, Security and System.
Trace what was running at the time of high CPU and overheating.

If your PC was running Windows Defender, Antivir or other Virus Checkers and in the process of installing Windows Updates all at the same time (usually after an overnight shutdown and a cold start in the morning), than this  this will surely rev-up the CPU and may cause overheathing. These processes are all competing for resources. Stagger these processes over the day. As you have SIW installed, check the Throughput Traffic, and which processes are running.

Also, ensure nothing is blocking the air intake and exhaust (tablecloth, too close to desk or wall).
Check that fan for ANY play, replace if needed.
Check if the intake/exhaust really functional by hanging a sheet of paper in front of the ducts. I have a brand new Laptop and found the Intake was 50% blocked by a Factory Installed piece of plastic. I still wonder what the purpose was!

Meanwhile, I have installed SIW on three PCs. It kept me happy for a couple of days. Thanks for the Tip.
