hi,

i had this problem for about three days now...i restarted my pc : reason being i coudnt connect to the network/internet. and i restarted my pc and when it restarted i got this message: invalid partition table

i tried to start it in safe mode but it couldnt, and went into setup to check boot priority and i changed it to HDD as 1st boot still the samething happend, i used a number og Checkdisk utilities none of them could not fix the MBR problem. i tried check disk in Parted magic it did not work.

how do i resolve this error?

its two months old: its custom built.

OS: WIN7
Processor: Pentium 4
RAM: 1024MB
HDD: 160GB
MOTHERBOARD: Asrock Prescott 800, FSB800

Follow the instructions in the following link and run both fixboot and fixmbr - let's see if that helps.

it did not work: so i decided to format the HDD and load win7 (checkout my new post u will see the current problem tht i have)
