My husband has a tremor in his hands.  I am looking for help in finding a mouse that isn't extremely sensitive to the movement of his hands.  My present mouse is a microsoft mouse and if I slow down the cursor  it is way too slow for me.  We have a Dell (old) running Windows XP Pro.

The Assistive Mouse Adapter was invented by IBM to address this problem. It works by filtering out the unintentional movements of the hand caused by a tremor. The effect of the adapter is much smoother movement of the cursor on the screen and greatly improved accuracy of mouse operation.

Hopefully the first option works for you, no better solution than a free solution

Just gave it a try, Seems to work wonders it is also pre configured to be enabled/disabled by using the scroll lock key
