Windows Media Player will not rip cd or create playlist
« on: April 29, 2011, 07:58:14 PM »
I am unable to rip a CD or create a playlist with windows media player.  I clicked organize, options, rip music tab and it says rip music to this location there is nothing there. I tried clicking change but nothing happened. I think not having a location there is preventing me from ripping and creating playlist. How do I fix this?  I tried clearing the media player database but it wasn’t helpful.

Many find Windows Media Player to be a bad experience.
Have you considered do an removal WMP and using almost any other popular Media player?

Download Windows Media Player Replacement Program Software

The above link is informational purpose only. I  posted it to let all know this is a very common issue. But he players they list may not be the best choice. Better choices would be:
VLC for playing movies and DVDs

Win mp for playing any music file.

This is not just IMO, rather a general census of many users.

Another alternative is to use and older version of WMP.
