Mint has flash, internet drivers, etc. out of the box, unlike Windows.
Windows comes with a shiteload of network drivers. Not sure *censored* a "internet driver" is (presumably network drivers).
Any distro of Linux can make a great recovery disc too, imo
The ones that support being a LiveCD, anyway. Which is a good 90% of them. (Some distros would require you to go to a lot of effort to turn them into a liveCD)
As for Flash:
Did you guys know that Almost every Linux distro is frowned upon by the great RMS? Apparently they aren't free enough. Even Firefox isn't free enough, how DARE they trademark their icon!
.
Of course, for people who aren't raging freetards they are great, because you can often
actually do things with them- I guess this is a requirement that the FSF forgets people have. But I do ramble!
Another good reason to use Mint now is that Ubuntu is just getting weird. I mean sure GNOME is a cluster.. err, "foogle" but I'd really like to know what they were trying to accomplish with Unity. Also the Mint Menu is rather nice with a search feature much like the windows Vista/7 start menu.
