    trust relationship with Domain server
    « on: June 03, 2011, 12:59:57 PM »
First time ever having this problem with W7 Pro PC. We belong to a 2003 Server but 2 times already I have had trouble logging into the PC after the computers sat idle for an hour or more. It tells us the domain does not recognize the computer and the trust relationship was broken.

So on both of these PCs I logged into the local machine and changed the name of the PC, disconnected from the domain and then rejoined it. They seem fine now but I am hoping that my server isn't going bad.

Any comments on this? I have to admit that I have been teaching myself on W7 and haven't had any formal training. I am learning as I go!

I did notice with W7 that when I assign a local user, that's what the name of the PC becomes? Does that sound right?
