Monitor display problem
« on: August 24, 2005, 10:19:50 AM »
Hi:
I have Trinitron 19” Monitor for very long time.  My computer crushed and has been reformatted.  It works well ever since except the Monitor.  I can hear the computer activity, but there is nothing on the monitor.  All started after I did some changes trying to fix the screen resolution by following up the help steps.  The screen resolution option does not work and the color quality gives one option which is “16 bit”.

Steps I did to fix:

Display property, setting, advance, Adapter, List All Mode.  I choose 800 x 600 pressed OK.  Restarted the computer.  While the computer starting I can see the Windows XP Professional display and it continue normal, but when it’s done I can hear the activity, but no long display.  I tried F8 to DOS while rebooting, click on directory services restoring.  But, I screwed up. Please Help!

You need to install videocard drivers.

To resolve your problem, do the following:

1. Before Windows XP loads, press F8
2. Select VGA Mode or Last good known configuration
