slow Browsing
« on: June 12, 2011, 11:41:49 AM »
Hello
my Internet speed 512 kbps . in this period I have suffered from very slow in  Browsing - even Google - abut little of the local sites are working normally. .
I measured the speed of the Internet   http://www.speedtest.net/   - no problem
But the measurement process took many attempts.
What is the reason

I mean that the page does not appear - white page -
Or error appears in the page load
example :
The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Note: I do not use proxy

Now, we're talking about the "measurement process".  So, are you saying you got all these error messages when trying to run speed tests?

It sounds like you have  an intermittent connection somewhere.  It could be somewhere inside your house or a problem with your ISP.  You need to trouble shoot the problem one step at a time.

How do you connect to the internet?  Cable or DSL modem, wireless or wired router, etc.?

Do this error comes only on a particular website and on what browser? You could also try checking your firewall/3rd party and security softwares settings such as antispyware, malware, web scanners, Adblock or antivirus.
