Upgrading a Radean x1600/1650 Graphics card
    « on: August 14, 2011, 11:15:04 AM »
Hi folks, i currently have a Radeon x1600/1650 256mb card on my system, i am looking for suggestions of a direct replacement of a bigger better card which will fit directly into the same slot as the current card uses, looking preferably something that's 1gb.

will have to explain it in n00b terms and where to find the info u need, sorry for the bother but totally new to this, i either go down the route of upgrading my old comp or sort the issues with my current comp which has cpu overheating issues, would this be easier to sort than going down the route of upgrading an old system ?

You haven't listed down all the details of your computer yet-like Manufacturer make and model, CPU, PSU wattage, RAM, and maybe even take a picture of your motherboard so we can point out exactly how to upgrade the graphics card.

Your current graphics card is PCI-E, so you can upgrade to just about any modern graphics if your PSU is up to the job.
