    excel error message

I'm using microft excel 2003. I'm getting a message that says "The formula in this cell refers to a range that has additional numbers adjacent to it". What does it mean?.

Without seeing the spreadsheet, it's hard to be sure, but I think it's simply suggesting that you might like to expand your formula to include those additional cells.  Double-check the precise range of your formula (the bit that looks like, e.g. A18:C20).

Thank you. Next time I'll try to remember to send a copy of the spreadsheet.
