VIRIS --- Worm Blaster? Can't rid of the PC Scan upon startup -- HELP PLEASE!

Hi Guys,

I have a fairly new HP mini t0wer PC with wind0ws 7. I had a virus message p0pping up that I ign0red f0r a week. N0w, when I restart my pc and enter my passw0rd, I get an immediate p0p-up which says Security Pr0tecti0n. Fr0m there, a scan is being perf0rmed. Threats are detected and s0 0n.

I can n0t get 0ut 0f this scan besides shutting 0r restaring the pc. I CAN g0 t the start butt0n but I d0n't kn0w what I can d0 fr0m there t0 st0p this. PLEASE HELP. I am a single m0m wh0 uses her pc f0r w0rk-at-h0me sales.  THANKS S0 MUCH!!

LOL!! My laptop is not allowing me to type on the O key so I was using the zero instead.

I am in the process of following the steps I was told to complete because I was able to get onto my PC with the virus. Hopefully I can solve it before I am not able to log-on any more.
