    IE 8 slow

    IE 8 is loading and surfing the internet way to slow.  Just went thru with SuperDave in cleaning out this computer.  I have defragged.

    Was it always this way or is this a recent development? Just for testing purposes have you tried a different browser (Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc)?

      SuperDave did not give me a clean bill of health, just asked how everything was.  I had relevant knowledge I could not get rid of, so far seems we did,  :) :)
      Yes, IE has been slow for sometime.  I will try Firefox again.  Can't remember why i took it out.

      You better switch to Chrome, Firefox or Safari. They re better browsers than IE8 and even IE9 are.
      No they aren't.
      I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

          IE 8 not responding a lot and so did firefox  superdave said we are to move on because i have this issue now, not related to (hopefully) any bug or virus.  Any help would be appreciated.

              How about trying Opera or Chrome because they are both a lot less resource intensive than firefox and IE.

                This is probably a ridiculous question but I'll ask anyway.  During that process of working with SupreDave, did you clear the browser history in all browsers?

                  lol, but that's not necessary at all. you can run any browser without clearing the cookies.
