New to Web Design
« on: October 20, 2011, 02:26:38 PM »
Hello All

I am going to Kaplan University in Networking Administration. A few terms ago I took Introduction to Wed Design and I liked it very much. I want to know what the next step would be where I can learn more on my own and with help with the internet, I do have Dreamweaver and Notepad++ and a bunch of Adobe products. All the class taught was HTML and XHTML and CSS. I want to take it to the next level and want to find possible a free web host or at least kind of cheap until I learn more and get a good one. So if anyone knows of any good web hosting and web design that can help me to take it to the next level please let me know.

Thanks

Dale

Welcome!

My personal recommendation is to learn as much as your can you can about Dreamweaver and Adobe products.

From the above summary, Dreamweaver is much more that just HTML and CSS. It is a high-level tool to increase speed of development and deployment of feature rich page designs. I used it years ago and found it impressive back then.

To answer your actual question something like http://www.free-webhosts.com/

Basically just google away until you find something. If your not bothered about traffic and the such as your just testing most will do. But if you actually want to run a site proper you will most likely have to pay.

You could always host your own site if you can set up a server which is not for everyone.
