    Burn help
    « on: November 19, 2011, 06:29:17 PM »
I have win 7. and I just made a Data CD and that was it.

Now I came back to play with the System Icones so I click on the Customize Tab next to the clock.

And I pick what Icones I want to stay shown all the time.

One Icone is for Explorer and it says you have files to Burn.

So I click on Show this Icone.
And click OK but it never goes in the system try.

If I can't see this Icone how do I get it so I can get rid of the filwes it is holding?

I made the CD I don't need it to hold them.

I did right click on the CD DVD Drive and looked for anything like Temp files or  space to hold  but I see nothing?

Yes I Rebooted and the Icone still wont show in the System Tray.

But if I click on the Customize Tab in the System Tray and look in the List the only item that says Only show Notifacation is the Explorer Item.

And it says you have files to Burn to Disk.

How do I get rid of the files I think it is holding?

Thank you and I did know ho to Disable it but I wanted to know this?

When I am doen Burnning the Disk there is a check Box that says Do You Want To Burn Files To Another Disk.

I do not put a check in the Box.

          And I click Finish Tab.

          And the whole thing closess.

So does this meen it is not holding copies of the Files I just Burned to Disk?

Is this for WMP, Nero or what burning software? You might have closed a previously burning session or used a drag and drop files to be burned instead of using the Add button. Usually when it finishes for Nero, it will ask if you wanna save the project. Prior to that it will ask you how many copies you want to produce.

I am sorry let me tell you the steps I am doing.

I am using win 7. just to Burn Data CDs.

So I put a Blank CD in the Drive and a window asks me if I want to Burn a Disk I click on it.

Then it opens and asks me what kind of Disk do you want to Burn I pick Data CD.

Then the Window open to copy the files you want to Burn.

I do this then I click Burn CD and it asks the speed I want to Burn at and to give the Disk a Name.

I do this and all go well and I am just useing the win 7. Built in Burnning.

When it is doen it tells me and say do you want to Burn another CD.

I pick NO and it closes.

So I thought it was not holding any of the files that it just Burned.

But I came back the next day to Burn another CD.

And when I get to were it opens the window for me to ad the files I want to Burn I see all the ather files I Burned from the last tiime.

So I have to Delette the files it is holding and then I can copy my new files to be Burned.

So this tells me that it is holding copies of whatever I Burn last.

How can I have it not do this?

I want it to Auto Delette the files from were ever it is holding them after it Burns them for me???

I think you need to manually clear the list before or after burning the data.
