pc lost on network
« on: January 01, 2012, 02:54:24 PM »
Hi all. I have an issue I cant get my head around. I have 3 pcs. pc A is win7, pc B is xp, pc C is also xp. All three pcs are ethernet cabled to a router and switch. I recently played with pc C by changing the motherboard and hard drives, but had an issue trying to restore a backup (changing from ide to sata) Short story is I put the pc back the way it originally was, and all works ok EXCEPT. Pc C has internet access, and can access both other pcs as per normal, but pcs A and B cannot see pc C.
pc A & B can ping C successfully. When I look in the file manager in pc C it cant even access the files in its own branch of the network tree. Whats the best plan of attack?

Try to re -setup the connection again

Hi, Yep done that, and reset winsock too. Tried unsharing and resharing again, and now i can see the shared folders in network connections again, rebooted and still not fixed
