Hi,
Currently, I'm using Mozilla Firefox (I'm not sure what version I'm using; when I look at "About Firefox", it says 9.0.1... which I don't think makes sense, because isn't Firefox currently in its 3-point-something stage?) on Windows 7.
My problem is, for some reason, I have a lot of trouble using Google and MSN applications. For example, when I Google something, it takes an unusually long time for results to come up, and sometimes, results don't show up at all, as if I haven't entered anything into the search bar. I know this isn't lag or that it's normal, because it doesn't happen regularly to any of my friends.
On MSN Hotmail, when I try to check my e-mail, I can't open up my messages. I get into the Inbox just fine, but when I click on a message to open it up, it either doesn't do anything at all, as if I hadn't clicked it, or strangely enough, it redirects me to the homepage. Refreshing doesn't work, restarting Firefox doesn't work, and no matter how many times I try to read that mail, it never works or I am always redirected to the homepage.
When I Google something or try looking at my Hotmail messages on Internet Explorer, on the other hand, everything works perfectly fine-- no lag, no delay, no redirection, nothing bad. I can Google things perfectly, and I can read my Hotmail messages with no problem.
When I asked for help concerning not being able to open up my Hotmail messages on Firefox, I got the reply:
"Most likely that is a browser issue. I recommend that you optimize your browser settings."
Unfortunately, this advice is pretty vague, especially for someone like me, who knows the bare minimum in technology use. If it certainly is a browser issue, I'm not sure how to fix it, or "optimize" it.
If you could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for your time.
