I have a Sony Vaio VGN FZ340E running Windows Vista.
Several weeks ago, I had an error occur with my display drivers. My laptop screen flickered black and would come back on. After turning the computer off and powering back up, I recieved an infamous blue screen that reported an error with nvlddmkm.sys. I booted in safe mode, uninstalled the drivers and rebooted with standard VGA display drivers. I have attempted to download and reinstall the drivers from Sony's website but every time I do, I still get the blue screen.
Long story short, I have been attempted to run a virus scan, Windows Defender and Malwarebytes Anti-malware scan. All of those reported no issues. I did do a DriverSweeper scan of the NVidia drivers which found many errors. It was able to fix all but 3 files which it can't repair.
Does anyone have any ideas?
