One thing I'm trying to figure out is how they decided Chrome got a higher rating than Firefox for "Feature Set". I can see how Chrome would win on "Ease of Use", but not on "Feature Set".

Why's that?

I think that advancing a suggestion re a browser being "best" is going to be a very subjective statement. As one that has had experience with a fair number of them (but certainly not all) i have formed a personal preference from what is my own criteria. That criteria may NOT be the priority of someone else. For instance with the rising concern for privacy one may want to make that their highest priority. In which case "Comodo" (if their assertions in that arena can be believed) could be a "right " choice for them. As in many things like what flavour of Jello one likes best. truenorth
P.S. As has been noted i find it intriguing that this topic seems to reoccur on the forums as much as it does.

I believe it all boils down to one's "personal preference".

There will be those who state one is better than the other...yet, I still have to prove it to myself.  Therefore, I do not simply read a review and trust what they have to say...though, I may find it useful in my decision of whether or not I want to try and/or use it.

We had a user post a thread about the "most secure" browser.  The review site posted Chrome as the best.  We questioned why Opera was not included in this review.  Funny thing is...Chrome was the first browser pwned, this year.

Amen.  And, I have some preference for Opera.

Yeah. I guess they conveniently forgot about the thousands of plug-ins that are available for Firefox.

There are thousands of plug-ins for Chrome, as well.  Granted...Firefox may have more than Chrome but, Chrome is gaining...and in the short period Chrome has been available...it has produced more plug-ins/extensions than Firefox has over its Firefox's) development period.

If you were to use a site for software ratings...which would you prefer?

I really don't like software ratings sites, other than as sources of lists of apps I might try.

I have Googled "Jerry Ropelato"...as you suggested.

What is it about him that "turns you off" about this particular site?

I don't like "N best" sites. Also Ropelato is a scaremonger who has a weird fixation with pornography. He made a notorious claim about children being exposed to web pornography from age 11 that proved to be made up. Jerry's tips to stop your computer being taken over by web porn, which he alleges is a menace for the unwary:

I use google chrome mostly, but sometimes It could get slower and then I just use firefox, when I'm sending pictures with hotmail I always use safari because for an unknown reason it always crashes on google chrome(silverlight does)
