    hard shut down

     My computer shut down hard last night and it sounds as though all fans and power are active yet it will not restart. is it possible that the hard drive has seized? when I try to restart, the hard drive seems abnormally quiet.

      I will apologize now for not reading the "read this first"

      its a dell 9150 from 2005
      and the power light that is normally green when on is flashing orange
