3 TB internal hard drive

I'm looking at a Seagate 3TB internal hard drive to add to my sons pc, XP PRO Core 2 Duo, specs attached.  I've seen that there is problems with the large size drives not being recognized as the full capacity.  What do I need to do, in dummy talk, to make this work?  All input is appreciated.

That is a very good question.
A 3 TB is at the cutting edge of current technology.

Personally, I think I would go for 2 TB instead. But it is your choice.

After checking around here in the Philippines, the tech at the local computer store found this Asus motherboard which will read the 3TB internal hard drive.  I guess the motherboard must be UEFI which allows for the GDP filling system when booting.  I guess Gigabyte has a number of UEFI compliant motherboards also.  Anyway, this is what I've found out so far so maybe someone else will have more input on this.  I'll have to check around for the best motherboard too, not just this one.
