How can I keep my save files?

I wanna re-install my game because some of my files got mixed up. How can I keep my save files? The game is Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Will they be there automatically?

You could just backup your game save file folder onto another drive just to make sure they won't be lost with a reinstall:

Depends on the game. Many games (if their developers had their heads right) will keep your save files even if you uninstall the game, or it will ask if you want to delete or keep them. However, just to be sure, follow Transfusion's advice just in case. Make a copy of the save folder in another location.
