Hi, I need help on configuring my TRENDnet TEW-639GR Router.
This is my first time posting on a a forum about computers so I dont really know much computer abbreviation so please explain in detail if possible, thank you
And my English is not that good. Ill try my best to explain my situation.
Ive search through google about limiting connection but I cant find the answer Im looking for. Ive read something about DHCP, MAC address or attach device but I dont know where to click on my router menu.
Firstly, on the DHCP client list it stated 2 IPaddress, does that mean there are 2 users using the same router? If yes, how do I find which one is my IPaddress?
I tried ipconfig on the cmd:
Wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . . : fe80::10fc:b144:6ddd:9704%11
IPv4 Address . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.10.50
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.10.1On the router:
which one is mine?The main question:
My brother tends to turn off the wireless whenever he played the PS3. He use a direct cable link to the router. And it really annoys me since I cant use the internet.
So, how do limit the connection like giving the ps3 only some bits of of connection speed about 10kb - 30kb? Just to annoy him back so he could turn the wireless back on. He usually does that whenever he keeps disconnected from playing online.
So please help, I know it may sound a bit evil doing that but I dont want him to hog the connection all to himself.
Thank you.
