Drivers are driving me crazy!
« on: September 30, 2005, 06:08:52 PM »
I bought a touch screen lcd and it arrived today. I plugged in the VGA and USB plugs for the monitor before installing the software (big mistake) and used the add new hardware prompt to get it working. When I went to calibrate the screen the monitor did not show up. I went to the device manager screen and the PLUG and PLAY driver s were listed. I then Uninstalled the drivers, rebooted, installed the software first, rebooted, plugged in the VGA and USB plugs and stil no monitor showing up in the software itself. Now I am stuck with guessing where to hit the screen to get what I want running ( I,m getting pretty good at it). Any help on how to straighten this out would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't know the answer but you asked the question twice. Best to keep each item in a single thread.

If you can locate the monitor in device manager, go to the update drivers tab and point windows to the proper loacation (CDROM, floppy, folder, etc).
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

Is Windows XP designed to work with a touch screen?

Do you not need Tablet edition for that?
