windows me dos mode

how might i boot a windows me system in dos mode when it is not on the boot menu accessed by pressing the F8 key?

That's been a problem ever since MS decided to squeeze MS-Dos out of it's OS's.  Here's the MS workaround http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q262846/

Otherwise you could boot using a Win.98 bootdisk
