new to windows 8 and want to wipe drives
    « on: November 05, 2012, 11:46:09 PM »
please help, my computer geek friend is unwell, so I'm asking you guys.
I have segregated? my hard drive into a c drive for admin files and d drive for documents and such.
I want/need to erase my D drive and possibly my C drive, after I backed it up.
So that it is clean of random rubbish and dodgy files that just appeared.
I've just installed Windows 8 but I kept all my apps and files so my drive isn't wiped.
Also do you know how to navigate windows 8 - like choose what shows on the main screen?
Some things when I just try to delete them it says I need administrator privileges.
I really just want to backup my files and wipe my drives then put my apps and files onto my desktop and main apps onto my metro screen.

    My comp is a Amd Athlon 2 x 2  3.3ghz
    4gb ram
