    Software to repair weak sectors

    Does anyone know of software that will repair weak sectors on a hard drive.
    Computers are my hobby and my income love working with computers

    No such thing as a "weak" sector " that i know of...either bad ...or good.
    Bad sectors cannot be repaired....disk apps mark them so they are no longer used.

    Yes and No.  ;)
    This is the year 2013.
    Your question is 1995.
    In windows 95 there was a built-in program to do that.
    Are you running windows 95 or 98?

    Modern HDD s do this automatically.

    You want to go to the website of the hd manufacturer and download and run their diagnostic utility. As patio mentioned, the utility will identify bad sectors, attempt to move data from those sectors to a good location on the disc, and then mark those sectors so they are not reused.
