    Firefox 3.6.28 Multi Tabs
    « on: January 07, 2013, 05:42:39 AM »
    I am using Firefox and on opening Firefox it would start with two home pages so I went To the config file and deleted what I believe was the home page address in (plugins.update.url), but when Firefox starts it has the home page and another page that is untitled. How to get rid of the untitled page? I had this problem about a month ago and after 2 weeks it just fixed itself. Below is a list of what is under plugins in the config file.

    plugin.default_plugin_disabled;true
    plugin.expose_full_path;false
    plugin.override_internal_types;false
    plugin.scan.Acrobat;5.0
    plugin.scan.Quicktime;
    plugin.scan.SunJRE;1.3
    plugin.scan.WindowsMediaPlayer;7.0
    plugin.scan.plid.all;true
    plugins.hide_infobar_for_missing_plugin;false
    plugins.hide_infobar_for_outdated_plugi n;false
    plugins.update.notifyUser;false
    plugins.update.url;

    Why are you in about:config? Just go to TOOLS - OPTIONS - GENERAL tab

      Under tools there is no way of getting rid of two tabs.

      I'm sorry, I don't understand. You should be able to set up the home page they way you want it and then click on "use current pages". What happens when you do that? What does it show in the home page dialog box on GENERAL tab?

        I think I have figured out the problem not total sure though . It works good like it should after deleting firefox completely then reinstalling it works great until I think it seems to check for updates in a new tab and maybe there are none so it is stuck in this endless loop every time you start firefox.
