  • Download TDSSKiller and save it to your Desktop.
  • Extract its contents to your desktop.
  • Once extracted, open the TDSSKiller folder and doubleclick on TDSSKiller.exe to run the application, then on Start Scan.

  • If an infected file is detected, the default action will be Cure, click on Continue.

  • If a suspicious file is detected, the default action will be Skip, click on Continue.

  • It may ask you to reboot the computer to complete the process. Click on Reboot Now.

  • Click the Report button and copy/paste the contents of it into your next reply
Note:It will also create a log in the C:\ directory..

I ran the TDSS Killer and no malicious objects were found.   Highlight and right click doesn't show 'copy' so I can't put it here.

I'd like to scan your machine with ESET OnlineScan

•Hold down Control and click on the following link to open ESET OnlineScan in a new window.
    ESET OnlineScan

    •Click the button.
•For alternate browsers only: (Microsoft Internet Explorer users can skip these steps)
    • Click on to download the ESET Smart Installer. Save it to your desktop.
    • Double click on the icon on your desktop.
    •Check
    •Click the button.
•Accept any security warnings from your browser.
    • Leave the check mark next to Remove found threats.
    •Check
    •Push the Start button.
•ESET will then download updates for itself, install itself, and begin scanning your computer. Please be patient as this can take some time.
    •When the scan completes, push
•Push , and save the file to your desktop using a unique name, such as ESETScan. Include the contents of this report in your next reply.
    •Push the button.

The same problem is still there.  Runs like a new one going to the first page of some sites but then the page only partially loads and if you try to link to another page it pretty much locks up.  However if you let it sit for 5 minutes the full page has loaded, but you still can't do much with it.

Could you please investigate this error for me? Go into the Device Manager and see if there are any yellow warning signs. What browser are your using. If you're using FireFox could you please try running Internet Explorer and see if there's any change. Some sites are very slow and others are quite rapid.

I'm running IE.    I looked carefully at the device manager and see no warnings.

No, I mean go into your Device Manager. Type in Device Manager in your search box.

Yes I did that (see two replies up) and found no flags.  I just wondered if the cables could be the cause.

You can unplug the cables to see if it makes any difference. Could you please download, install and run Firefox to see if it lags?
