RAM Compatibility
« on: April 03, 2013, 08:37:53 AM »
Finally going to start the refit of my now very archaic computer. I just wanted a competent second opinion as to whether or not the RAM is compatible. I know it's easy to overlook stupid things otherwise (e.g. I almost went for a quad channel kit).

Mobo: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0
CPU: AMD FX 8350 4.00Ghz
RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit

ASUS provides a QVL list for RAM for all their MBoards...
This means the RAM on that list has actually been tested in the lab with the MBoard by ASUS and found to be fully compatible...
Check the Manual.
