How do I calculate disk partitons

I have a 30GB Hard disk and my tutor has asked me to create 1 primary partition of 20GB and two logical partitions of 5GB each in percentages %.  How can I calculate the percentage?  I am not good with numbers, please help!! The logical partitions are inside the extended partition Do I type the percenatge for this also?  please someone do a simple idiots guide!!

This will calculate the percentages for you.  Enter the number in fdisk followed by the percent symbol "%" (without the ")

hi,

thanks for the links  it is brilliant.  However, based on the problem I have can you show me a worked example, I will not be using using a calculator in a practical.

    Do your own math. It is simple. Divide the partition size by the total disk size. The answer will come out a decimal fraction. Move the decimal 2 places to the right and you have percentage.

    Brilliant,  thanks a million 4 pointing me in the right direction. I have forgotton all my math, that was so simple, I had a block head....my grey cells are too rusty!!
