Some other questions.
All of these printers are on the same computer?
If so, is USB the interface used? USB has its own issues.
Or, is there some networking used to get these printers online?
If the Domain server fails to connect, would that cur off a printer?
Or, does each printer connect via an Ethernet cable to a router?
A common problem with Windows is failure to log into a network in a timely manner. Sorry, I don't know the remedy for this. The standard procedure is to reboot. You may have already mentioned that to your boss.
