History on Information Security position

I am looking for information on when the Information Security role became an actual position within companies.  I am doing a presentation on Information Security to a group of professionals and have the history of what drove the need for data security but want to also include when jobs for Information Security first appeared in the job market.  I believe it was sometime in the 1990's in the business world.
