My mice are not performing as they should
    « on: April 10, 2014, 03:33:08 PM »
I have 2 G cube wireless mice (same model numbers) and using on 2 laptops both with Windows 7.

Both are doing the same thing.  It has to do with the scroll wheel.  I have tried the fixes with the control panel and mouse properties but this does not fix the problem.  When trying to scroll the wheel either forward or backward it at times goes in the opposite direction.  Now there is some little thing attached (but not all the time) to the bottom of the pointer. This shows up only on the right side of the screen.  At times it looks like a bee and other times a black box.
When I try to click on something it clicks on a complete different thing.  For example, if I choose an email I want to open it opens another one somewhere else in the list.
How can this be happening on 2 different computers using 2 different mice?
I went to Gcube site and downloaded drivers but this was not the problem.

    AZDesertGal,
    May I speak candidly?
    Give up wireless mice.
    Google "why wireless mice suck"
    One of many:

... and thee are more like that.

Just to be fair. There are some good ones out  there.

Most wireless mice connect either via an USB dongle or Bluetooth. HP decided to switch it up and use WiFi. The mouse features five programmable buttons and an ambidextrous design. Simple and novel at a great price. If you're looking for a portable mouse for your Windows laptop, don't count this out.
    Does that help?  :)

Please feel free to ignore the above post - clearly it does not help in any way.

Do you swap files between the two computers? It's possible this is a malware issue. And just as a test, please do try a wired mouse just to see if it exhibits the same problem.

Switch them both to the other laptop at the same time...any change ?
