Google redirected me twice (browser hijack?)
« on: September 02, 2013, 07:15:28 PM »
I'm not sure if this is the right subforum for my question. When I used the home button (google.com (I'm sure)) on my browser today, it redirected me to google.comebay.com twice and then it just started going to normal google.com. The site that showed up on google.comebay.com looked exactly like google, but I didn't use it for obvious reasons. Do you think I have a browser hijack or something? I checked all my addons and everything seems fine. Should I just ignore this? Maybe it was just something weird with the DNS?

It sounds like it could be a Google Redirect Virus, and if it is, it could be serious. You need to check if it is and then remove it asap. If you google "Google Redirect Virus" you'll probably find a step by step guide which will explain it. Good luck! :)
