    Laptop to TV connection
    « on: February 26, 2014, 06:59:31 AM »
I've got a 3-4 yr. old HP laptop with WIN7 on it. Can I  connect the LT to the TV using the HDMI conns. on both and get video and audio on the TV using the "dual display" feature on the LT? I'd like to display some of the PBS programs available on the internet on the TV. I'm afraid of "overdriving" the TV (for lack of a better description)

This should work absolutely fine, it's not possible to damage anything doing this.

If audio still comes out of the laptop when it is connected to the TV you may need to go into Control Panel -> Manage Audio Devices and then set the TV as the default audio device.
