why can't a change my color settng?

when i go to the settings to change my color *i need 250+* it won't let me and it says to look for a palette, i don't have that either

What are you referring to? Your monitor? Your videocard? Your desktop?

What kind of videocard have you got installed? I suggest you install the drivers and/or update them.

The settings are there but it does not allow you to select them?
