touchpad on asus microsoft 8 was freezing and now pointer has disappeared

After i restart my computer the pointer works for about a minute, then freezes. I don't seem to have enough time to do any troubleshooting. I'd appreciate any help! Thanks!

Well, with the lack of information in your post, helping you troubleshoot is practically impossible.  We need more info. 

Make and model, version of Windows, hardware specs, did this start suddenly or gradually, did you make any changes to your computer just before this happened, etc.
