    GTX 760 vs GTX 970
    « on: November 12, 2014, 04:57:37 PM »
Which graphics card should i get for my exact monitor?
    Specs Right Now:
    MOBO: Asus M5A97 970 chipset
    Ram: G.Skill Ripjaw X Series 8GB
    GPU: GTX 460
    CPU: AMD FX-6300
    HDD: 1TB Seagate Barracuda
I know the FX-6300 will bottleneck the 970 so ill upgrade that if i end up with the 970 instead of the 760 but, I have a Acer 20" monitor. The top resolution is only 1366 x 768. Is it worth getting the upgraded processor and GPU for a 720p monitor? I'm not in the market for a new one cuz i personally love my monitor. Can you guys help me?

The 760 is more than enough for gaming at that resolution and would also be fine for 1080p.  1366x768 is extremely low resolution by modern standards.

Thanks for responding. Ill definitely go with the 760 than. I see no need to upgrade monitors though.
