    Unwanted Drafts in Outlook
    « on: March 22, 2015, 02:25:23 PM »
I keep getting unwanted drafts in my "Draft" folder in Outlook 2013. They keep appearing out of nowhere, mainly to the same person. Any one know why?

    Thanks

That means someone else is using the PC...Drafts are not "incoming"...

That's interesting, I'm the only one that lives here.

Any time you start writing a new E-mail or a E-mail reply, it will get saved to your drafts folder until you send it or discard it.

Yes, but I don't hardly ever write a new E-mail or reply to one. About the only reason I use my email is to see what was sent to me, like sales at stores or something I bought on line. I have idea who this person is that the drafts keep appearing for and I have only replied to a couple of E-mails.

Do E-mail programs get infected with viruses or malware that are specifically designed to go after E-mail?

What anti-virus program do you use?  And, do you have any spyware/malware removal programs installed?

It just did it again. I started my computer this morning, checked my email and the was another draft to that same person.

I just ran ESET on-line virus scan last night and it said it found 64 items. I ran Malwarebytes anti-malware program a couple of days ago and it found 1 malware item. Adware Cleaner is the other one I use but haven't run that in the last week.

If you don't have an anti virus app installed and resident you need to install one (neither MBAM nor Adware Cleaner fit that bill).
