Why do you want to install a program in Safe Mode? Print spooler should not affect your installation.

Because i was not able to install the program in normal mode.thought that safe mode would work. If the print spooler error did not show up then the program would have installed.

Right click on My Computer, select Manage and double click on Services. Find Print Spooler and start the service. It should be set to start automatically.

When a program does a crash, it may throw a random error message.
It might help if the OP would specify exactly what program caused the error
I had a similar bogus print spool error that had almost nothing to do with the printer. It may be a third party app that found some wired compatibility thing that the publisher did not starch.
          Just trying to help.  :)
