Internet connection issue on old laptop
    « on: March 24, 2015, 10:01:57 AM »
I have an old laptop that I am trying to connect to the Internet. It is a Dell Latitude D610 running Windows XP. Last time I used it, it was my primary computer and I had a Verizon USB drive and installed Verizon software to connect to the Internet. I have Adobe Creative Suite installed on that computer and the version I have (CS3) is not compatible with my current laptop that runs Windows 8. So I was just going to use it on the old laptop but it is asking me to verify the software online. So I plugged the laptop into my Comcast modem using an ethernet cable. It now says it is connected but I still don't have Internet access. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

On XP you have to re-create the Network connection from scratch via Control Panel/Network
