    BSOD 0x0000007E when installing windows

    I have a machine that had windows xp on it.  I decided to then load a copy of windows 7 on it, but when I started the install I got a BSOD 0x7E after the starting windows screen.  I then tried reinstalling windows xp and got the BSOD again.  Whats going on, and how do I fix it
