    Anonymous Browsers.
    « on: May 21, 2015, 02:53:20 PM »
I've been using Firefox as my default browser for a number of years but lately getting a whack load of tracking cookies. I sometimes use DuckDuckGo as an alternative and am tempted to use it (or similar) as my default search engine.

Don't want to make an impulsive decision, which I have been known to do -> ::) so would appreciate any feedback on the topic.

Do not assume all cookies are bad.
Look at this item in the CH archives:

Thanks for the comments, I think I'll purge the cookies after my FF browser sessions as Dave suggested and might even test drive Ghostery for a bit.

Although I realize some cookies are necessary, there is a very thin line between privacy & convenience. That's my cynicism talking, not my paranoia.  ;D
