    Windows 10 advise
    « on: June 03, 2015, 09:25:00 AM »
    Hi  -
Windows 10 is being offered free.  I am using Windows 7 now.  If I take W 10 when it comes will it be more complicated than W7?  I am happy with what I have now and I don't want to have to learn all over again.  What will be my options?  I am supposing that some of you have been on W 10  bata and have some idea about what it takes to change over.  Any suggestions will be appreciated.  Thanks     Bob

Thanks for your reply.  That website sounded like a sales pitch to me.  However I guess I will give it a try when it comes.   I still am satisfied with Windows  7.  It does everything I am capable of doing.  I just want to be ready just in case they do away with W 7.   Thanks     Bob

First, they don't do away with OS's, they just stop supporting them (proving updates). Second, Microsoft will continue to provide Extended Support for W7 until 2020. Third, the website I sent you to was CNN. It was not an advertisement.

OK  I will just stay with what I have.  I probably will never see 2020 so I am all set.  Thanks for the clearing up what will happen to Windows 7.    Bob
