I have seen this with Firefox and after selecting enable, if I press F5 to refresh the site it usually works for me.

i heard that adobe flash player plugin was flagged by google due to security concerns? is that true?

Last I heard it was use at own risk. Very low risk of any problems unless you go to questionable sites from what I have been told. Firefox to protect the public switched flash to disabled by default and its simple to teach Firefox to accept the risk and run it anyways. It was a smart decision on Mozilla's part to prove that they strive for excellence with security concerns to best protect the public when using their browser. It also washes them of any security liability had they known of the issue and not taken such action to protect the customers.
